I have a friend Maxim. For a long time he couldn’t give up conventional cigarettes, which is understandable – he has been smoking for almost 10 years. Because there was no question of quitting abruptly (because it is psychologically difficult and not good for the body), it was decided to use an electronic steam generator. This is most likely due to the propylene glycol content of the liquid (which is just responsible for the “blow to the throat”). According to many studies, about 10% of the world’s population is allergic to propylene glycol. But the question arises:Why do novices’ vapours cough immediately and stop adapting after a while?

When you smoke a conventional cigarette, you slowly destroy the small eyelash-shaped protrusions in your airways. However, when you stop, they begin to recover and react more sensitively to external stimuli.

However, there is not yet an exact answer to this question. All that remains is to assume that the body adapts to new substances.

I would like to add that scientists assume that the substances are used in similar cigarettes to suppress coughs. This seems perfectly logical to me.Why is it that you can easily inhale cigarette smoke, but at the same time you can’t get close to the smoke from the fire? Because it is essentially the same thing – the burning of plant matter. So, of the 9,600 chemical compounds found in conventional cigarettes, there are probably some that help prevent coughing.

It can therefore be assumed that manufacturers of e-liquids obviously do not use such substances.

Vaping technique for beginners.

  • Experiment with the vapour inhalation technique.

Some smokers use the following technique: first inhale the smoke in the mouth and then only in the lungs. A similar trick can be done with a vapor.

In turn, some people inhale immediately into the lungs and nothing. And those for whom this option is not suitable.

This is therefore controversial and rather subjective advice.

  • Change the concentration of PG \ VG in the liquid.

All liquids, as we know, are composed of the following elements:

  • glycerol
  • nicotine/nicotine free
  • propylene glycol
  • distilled water

The propylene glycol is responsible for the blow to the throat.

Try a liquid with a lower propylene glycol (PG) content.

  • Experiment with your nicotine levels.

Currently, there is a wide range of nicotine levels in e-liquids ranging from 1 to 24 mg. With such a gradation, only the lazy will not be able to find an option that suits them.

  • Drink plenty of water.

E-cigarettes (like conventional) cause dehydration of the body, and therefore dry mouth – the cough. It is known that it is desirable for a person to drink 2 to 2.5 litres of fluid a day.Before, I couldn’t cope with this – now there are no problems.

So don’t forget to restore your water balance and everything will be fine. Personally, I find only one advantage to this.

  • Change the inhalation / exhalation rate of the vapour.

Try to inhale more slowly. This has a positive effect on the solution of our current problem for the majority of people who are confronted with it. Slower exhalation helps some people.

  • Add menthol

Ummm … just add a drop of menthol. This should help.

Also, if you don’t like liquids, menthol will come to your rescue here.
